Day Two of Life

I was stuck in the maternity ward trying to get my blood pressure back down.  The day is again kind of a blur for me.  I do remember another two meals of liquid diet (breakfast and lunch).  My visitors included my in-laws and Sharon Violanti...perhaps others (remind me!?).

Chris did his back-n-forth between the NICU and my bedside.  He gave me updates on the babies and shuttled visitors to/from the NICU.

I got moved to my "permanent" room in maternity.  I thought it was sooooo HOT, but according to everyone it was freezing!  The night before, I'd been in "intermediate care" - not sick enough for the ICU, but not healthy enough for the regular maternity ward.  My new room was private, so no one else to share with, but not that I could rest much.  I had these leg things on that would inflate and deflate every so often to keep my blood flowing.  I started to get to eat soft diet meals.  My cath was still in, as my fluid level was still decreasing.  It was annoying though as every little bump was quite uncomfortable (and some of my guests didn't realize they'd bumped it).

Sadly, it was their second day of life, and I still didn't get to see Keilin and Dominic.  :(
